Job summary

Atlas Copco Group in Voorheesville, NY, seeks a Supplier Development Specialist to strengthen supplier performance and capability through strategic relationships and continuous improvement. The role reports to the Sourcing Manager.

You will lead onboarding, qualification, and development of suppliers, partner with internal teams to identify improvements, and conduct assessments, audits, and site visits to drive corrective actions. Significant travel (≈50%) is required.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in supplier development, quality improvement, sourcing, engineering, or manufacturing operations.
• Strong knowledge of supplier quality systems, auditing practices, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience with ISO standards and supplier audits, supplier performance management.
• Strong data analysis capabilities with Microsoft Office, Power BI, and ERP systems such as SAP.

Responsibilities

• Partner with suppliers and internal stakeholders to identify process improvement opportunities, reduce costs, and improve quality and delivery performance.
• Conduct supplier assessments, audits, and site visits to evaluate performance, identify risks, and drive corrective actions when needed.
• Negotiate framework agreements, maintain supplier compliance documentation, and ensure adherence to corporate policies and standards.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, and Project teams to resolve supplier-related issues and support strategic sourcing initiatives.
• Regular domestic and international travel (approximately 50%) is required to support supplier development, audits, and strategic initiatives.

• Experience with ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and/or ISO 45001), supplier audits, and supplier performance management.
  
• Strong data analysis capabilities, including Microsoft Office, Power BI, and ERP systems such as SAP.

Hybrid. This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working from home and being on-site at our manufacturing sitein Voorheesville, United States (US).
