Job summary

Carrier is seeking a Supplier Development Leader in Charlotte, NC to strengthen supplier performance and readiness. You will assess capacity, drive recovery initiatives and lead continuous improvement with cross-functional teams to ensure production support and successful launches.

The role requires 7+ years in supplier development or related fields, strong Lean and data-analysis skills, and up to 30% travel domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Operations.
• 7+ years in Supplier Development or related fields.
• 7+ years knowledge of manufacturing processes, capacity analysis, production flow, and supplier performance improvement.
• 5+ years applying Lean methodologies and structured problem-solving tools.
• 5+ years of data analysis using Excel.

Responsibilities

• Conduct supplier capacity, capability, and readiness assessments across staffing, equipment, tooling, production flow, process stability, and quality systems.
• Validate supplier production capacity by analyzing throughput vs. quoted capacity and identifying bottlenecks.
• Lead supplier recovery and readiness initiatives through root cause analysis and corrective action plans.
• Drive on-site process optimization, capacity expansion, Lean deployment, and throughput improvement at supplier facilities.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Materials, Strategic Sourcing, and Supplier Performance teams to support readiness for NPI launches and ramp-ups.
