Pay Range

The base pay range for this position is $41.32-$61.50 hourly; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Position Overview

An MRI Technologist is a healthcare professional who specializes in operating magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment to create detailed images of the body's internal structures. MRI technologists play a crucial role in diagnostic imaging and patient care, using advanced technology to help physicians diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions.

A Day in the Life
  • Perform MRI scans on patients according to physician orders.
  • Position and instruct patients for imaging procedures to obtain clear and accurate images.
  • Operate MRI equipment and adjust scan parameters to capture high‑quality images.
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures, including monitoring for adverse reactions to contrast agents.
  • Maintain detailed patient records and documentation of imaging exams.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations related to magnetic fields, radiation, and patient care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Provide education and support to patients undergoing MRI scans.
  • Stay current on developments in MRI technology through ongoing training and professional development.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, empathy, and compassion in all interactions with patients and colleagues.
About You! This Job is For You if You Have
  • Possess a current Washington State License as a Radiologic Technologist Certification.
  • ARRT registration in MRI.
  • One or more years’ experience in radiography, preferably in MRI.
