• Serve as expert advisor on Army, and MTF behavioral health policies and procedures to achieve functions and objectives.
• Provide consultation, advisory, and liaison services in various population areas as required.
• Participate in quality assurance, quality improvement studies, utilization review, risk management, and peer review activities.
• Perform first-level supervisory work; plan work for subordinates and set short-term priorities.
• Direct all aspects of BH clinic and services, promote patient-centered care.
• Examine and study presenting patients, evaluate findings, and prescribe treatment or refer to appropriate clinics.

This position is located at WOMACK Army Medical Center in the Department of Behavioral Health at the Womack Army Medical Center, Fort Bragg, NC.

Named after Medal of Honor recipient, PFC Bryant H. Womack, we are a fully accredited 110-bed, evidenced-based regional medical center and GME facility serving Fort Liberty, the home of Airborne and Special Operations and the largest U.S. Army installation in the world. We manage several outstanding Primary Care practice sites located in Fort Liberty, Fayetteville, Hope Mills, and Linden Oaks.

Womack is located in Fayetteville, Fort Liberty which is 2 hours from the beach and 5 hours from the Appalachian Mountains with easy access to I-95 and all points north and south. Responsibilities

As a Supervisory Physician Psychiatrist you will:

• Supervisor outlines the general scope of professional services, administrative policies, and provides general professional, administrative and medical direction.


• Serve as expert advisor on Army, and MTF behavioral health policies and procedures to successfully achieve functions, missions, and objectives.


• Provide consultation, advisory, and liaison services and must be well versed to transition to any area in the population as required.


• Participate in quality assurance, and quality improvement studies, utilization review, risk management, and peer review activities.


• Perform first level supervisory work; plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short-term priorities, prepare schedules for completion of work.


• Direct all aspects of BH clinic and services, promote patient centered services, access to quality care.


• Examine and conduct thorough studies of presenting patients and evaluate laboratory and clinical findings, prescribing appropriate treatment or referring patient to appropriate specialty clinics.

Qualifications

Board Certified in Psychiatry
