The Antitrust Division has an opening for a Supervisory Paralegal Specialist to join its dedicated team and gain invaluable experience working in the public interest to protect the competitive process. To qualify for this position at the GS-12 level

Your resume must reflect at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level. Specialized experience is experience that has provided you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position as described above, and that is typically in or related to this position being filled.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

GS-12 level: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-11 performing at least 4 out of 5 of the following:

1. Leading teams;
2. Preparing for and conducting interviews with investigative sources and prospective witnesses;
3. Performing factual research to supply information for inclusion in memoranda, briefs, and similar legal documents;
4. Providing technical legal support to attorneys in preparation for trial;
5. Performing preliminary screening of substantive materials prior to review by attorneys.

IMPORTANT: A full year of work is 35-40 hours of work per week. All experience listed on your resume must include the month and year start/end dates. Part-time experience will be credited based on time spent in appropriate activities. Applicants wishing to receive credit for such experience must clearly indicate the nature of their duties and responsibilities in each position and the number of hours a week spent in such employment. You must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
