This position is located in Patient Business Services at the Chalmers P. Wylie VA Medical Center. The incumbent serves as a Supervisory Medical Support Assistant (MSA) in Primary Care. Incumbent must possess knowledge of clinic processes and services to function in and interact with various clinics throughout the facility. Employee must have knowledge of and ability to apply policies and procedures associated with operational activities that affect workload data.
Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
In addition to the basic requirements for employment listed above, the following experience criteria must be met when determining the grade of candidates: Supervisory Medical Support Assistant, GS-08. Experience. One year of creditable experience equivalent to the next lower grade.

The full performance level of this vacancy is GS-08.
