Job description

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. Specialized Experience

One year of specialized experience which includes:

1. Directing structural firefighting and rescue operations;
2. Responding to accidents and other emergencies involving injury and illness to administer direct patient care;
3. Determining the utilization of firefighters and equipment while combating hazardous material incidents;
4. Assign work and/or crew assignment based on priorities.

In addition to meeting the specialized experience requirement above, applicants must also possess the below listed certifications (for their applicable grade) certified through DoD Fire and Emergency Services Certification System, International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC), or the Fire Service Professional Qualifications System (PRO-Board) in accordance with DoD 6055.06-M. To qualify, the incumbent must possess the following IFSAC/PROBOARD certifications at time of application: Fire Officer III, Fire Instructor II, Fire Inspector II, HAZMAT Incident Commander, Airport Firefighter and maintain current National or State Registry issued Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT) with IV endorsement certification.,
