Job summary

First Student, Inc. is seeking a Facilities and Grounds Support member in Yonkers, NY to perform general maintenance, light repairs, janitorial work, and groundskeeping.

You will help ensure the facility, outdoor areas, tools, and supplies are maintained properly to support a safe and efficient work environment. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, knowledge of bus maintenance, and the ability to work safely and independently.

Responsibilities

• Support general janitorial and groundskeeping activities throughout the location.

• Remove trash, debris, and other materials from the property.
• Mow and maintain grass and assist with landscaping, including planting and pruning shrubs and flowers.
• Clear and maintain sidewalks, parking lots, and other outdoor areas.
• Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in good working condition.
• Handle and store chemicals appropriately and safely.
• Maintain inventory of supplies, tools, and materials.

About the Role
