Job summary

NCH Healthcare System is seeking a Wellness Maintenance Supervisor for the Briggs and Whitaker Wellness Centers in Naples, FL. You will oversee preventive maintenance of fitness equipment, pools, spas, and cleaning services while guiding staff and coordinating external vendors.

Your role ensures safe, clean facilities, proper locker room conduct, and timely work orders, with a focus on member satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of housekeeping, custodial or general facility maintenance in a health club or spa/pool environment.
• Within 90 days must complete CPR, AED, and First Aid through American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Aquatic maintenance experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (English).
• Very physical role; able to stand all shift and lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Basic computer knowledge: ability to operate a PC and input data.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance of Briggs and Whitaker Wellness Centers including preventive maintenance.
• Coordinate facility repairs with vendors and track service quality.
• Manage maintenance and capital budgets with Wellness Manager.
• Supervise janitorial, grounds and contracted services facility-wide.
• Ensure locker rooms and pool areas comply with etiquette and safety standards.
• Respond to member feedback and resolve service issues efficiently.
• Assist with supplier orders, inventory, and deep cleaning schedules.
• Occasionally serve as Pool Operator as assigned.

JOB SUMMARY

The Wellness Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance of the Briggs and Whitaker Wellness Centers to include preventive maintenance of fitness equipment, pool and spas; cleaning services; building repairs and work orders. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for ensuring thorough and proper cleanliness, upkeep and appropriate behavior within the men’s locker room, lounge, common areas, sauna and whirlpool, as well as outdoor pool deck areas. The incumbent must be courteous, reliable, and honest, and be able to efficiently and directly communicate with members, guests, and fellow staff members.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Other duties may be assigned.
• Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation within areas as assigned.
• Develops and coordinates the maintenance schedule for major/minor facility repairs, pool, spas, fitness equipment and other vendors servicing wellness to improve efficiency and exceed member satisfaction.
• Coordinates all facility repairs with internal and external partners/vendors. Tracks completion and monitors quality of service.
• Assists Wellness Manager in establishing, monitoring and analyzing the maintenance and capital budgets.
• Oversees work order process to ensure all repairs are made in a timely manner.
• Assist management with reviewing and responding appropriately to ongoing member feedback related to facilities.
• Oversees maintenance, janitorial, ground crews and other contracted services related to facility management.
• Enforce etiquette standards, rules and policies facility-wide, including the locker rooms.
• Assists with supply orders, stocking and inventory to ensure facility supplies and toiletries are stocked and replenished at all times.
• Assist in cleaning all parts of the facility to include, but not limited to vanity/sink areas, bathroom stalls, showers, fitness equipment, floors, common areas, etc. as needed to ensure member satisfaction. Organizes, manages and implements schedule for deep cleaning of fitness equipment and fitness areas.
• Communication liaison between NCH facilities and wellness management
• Ensure safety and member satisfaction by maintaining cleanliness and working order of the sauna, steam room showers, and whirlpool a at all times.
• Keep wet and dry area floors clean and dry at all times.
• Review that lockers are functioning properly.
• Monitor whirlpool, sauna, as well as general areas throughout locker room at all times to ensure members/guests are upholding rules and etiquette expectations.
• Maintains a critical, objective eye to spot and fix problems in the facility in lieu of work orders through engineering.
• Attend to and report member and guest complaints and suggestions and assist management with resolving service issues.
• Identify and report preventative maintenance issues and complete work orders in a timely and efficient manner. Track completion for all work orders.
• Perform general facility/equipment repairs and maintenance as needed.
• Assist and coordinate with management on equipment deliveries.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in housekeeping, custodial or similar field, as well as general facility maintenance in a health club or spa/pool environment preferred.
• Within 90 days must complete CPR, AED, and First Aid through American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Aquatic maintenance experience preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (English).
• Ability to think and respond quickly to issues or member needs.
• Position is a very physical role- must be able to be on your feet for the entire shift and be able to bend, lift, and carry a minimum of 50lbs.
• Prior law enforcement or security experience preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge: ability to operate a PC, create/save/print documents, input data.
