Job summary

McLane in Longmont, CO is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to directly supervise a team of drivers. You will ensure safe, timely deliveries and compliance with DOT regulations, using routing systems and coordinating with distribution center staff.

The role offers pay between 75,000 and 90,000 USD per year plus an annual incentive plan with a target of 10% of base salary, as well as day-one benefits and PTO. Schedule Monday–Friday 2:00pm–12:00am.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• At least 1 year of transportation management experience in food distribution.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations.
• AS/400 experience preferred.
• Truck routing software experience preferred.
• Ability to work a varied and flexible schedule.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• English reading/writing ability sufficient for job tasks.

Responsibilities

• Achieve safe, timely deliveries using routing and dispatch procedures.
• Review logs, hours of service, and DOT requirements for compliance.
• Coordinate with distribution center departments to ensure timely deliveries.
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

The Transportation Supervisor provides direct supervision for a group of assigned Drivers.

Benefits you can count on:

• Pay rate: $75,000 to $90,000 per year.


• This role is also eligible to participate in the annual incentive plan with a target incentive of 10% of your base annual salary.


• Scheduled Monday- Friday 2:00pm-12:00am

What you’ll do as a Transportation Supervisor:

• Achieve safe, timely, and accurate deliveries to customers via a thorough working knowledge of multi-stop routing systems and dispatch procedures.


• Review driver logs, hours of service, and other DOT requirements to ensure compliance with all state, local and federal regulations.


• Coordinate activities with other distribution center departments to ensure that accurate and timely deliveries occur.


• This position has additional duties. Special projects may be assigned at the position supervisor's discretion.

Qualifications you’ll bring as a Transportation Supervisor:

• Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent required.


• A Bachelor's degree is preferred.


• Have at least 1 year of transportation management experience in the food distribution industry.


• Be knowledgeable about DOT regulations.


• AS/400 experience is preferred.


• Truck routing software experience preferred.


• Be able to work a varied and flexible schedule.


• Have basic competency with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Outlook, Word).


• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
