Job summary

McLane Company is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to directly supervise a group of drivers and ensure safe, timely, and accurate deliveries to customers. You will monitor driver logs, hours of service, and DOT compliance while coordinating with other distribution center departments for smooth operations.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED (Bachelor's preferred) and at least 1 year in transportation management within the food distribution sector.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• At least 1 year of transportation management experience in food distribution.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations.
• AS/400 experience preferred.
• Truck routing software experience preferred.
• Ability to work a varied and flexible schedule.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Ability to read, write, and understand English at required level for safety and tasks.

What you’ll do as a Transportation Supervisor:

• Achieve safe, timely, and accurate deliveries to customers via a thorough working knowledge of multi-stop routing systems and dispatch procedures.
• Review driver logs, hours of service, and other DOT requirements to ensure compliance with all state, local and federal regulations.
• Coordinate activities with other distribution center departments to ensure that accurate and timely deliveries occur.
• This position has additional duties. Special projects may be assigned at the position supervisor's discretion.

Qualifications you’ll bring as a Transportation Supervisor:

• Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Have at least 1 year of transportation management experience in the food distribution industry.
