Mary Washington Healthcare in Fredericksburg, VA is seeking a Sterile Processing Supervisor to lead the SPD team and coordinate reprocessing of surgical instruments. You will oversee decontamination, disinfection, washing, prep and packaging, and terminal sterilization, liaising with the OR and external partners.

Under the direction and supervision of the Sterile Processing management, the Supervisor will supervise functions of the sterile processing area and all its related systems in an efficient manner. The incumbent will coordinate the reprocessing of all surgical instrumentation used in the healthcare facility. The assembly processing functions are: decontamination, disinfection, washing, preparation and packaging, terminal sterilization and preparation of surgical case cart system. The Supervisor will act as a liaison for the Operating Room (OR) and all outside entities.

Physical Requirements: Constant (67-100% of workday) use of arms and hands; frequent (34-66% of workday) standing, walking, and sitting; occasional (0-33% of workday) bending, stooping, and squatting; ability to lift 35 lbs.; ability to push and pull up to 20 lbs.; auditory and visual skills to include color determination.
