UVA Health in Charlottesville is seeking experienced registered nurses for a variety of patient care roles across our hospitals, clinics, and community health settings. You will assess, diagnose, treat, and provide follow-up care, while supporting patients and families and ensuring the smooth operation of healthcare teams.

Qualified applicants will hold a nursing license, have at least six years of experience with supervisory responsibilities, and possess a bachelor's degree.

These roles involve patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up. May work across various healthcare settings, such as hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities, and community health organizations. Responsibilities include the delivery of medical care, supporting patients and their families, and ensuring the effective functioning of healthcare teams. Requires Registered Nurse certification. These roles are responsible for providing nursing care across various settings and specialties. Nurses and leaders in this category may rotate between departments or take on diverse duties, offering flexible and adaptive care based on the needs of patients and the institution.

Individual contributors with responsibility in a clinical discipline or specialty. Typically involves diagnosing, treating, and caring for patients, and often include face-to-face interactions with patients. May also spend some time designing and implementing clinical programs, policies, and services using specialized knowledge and skills. Specialty license or certification required which is acquired through advanced education, training and/or experience. This career stream will be most commonly applied to patient care and/or scientific/laboratory technologist jobs.

Requires broad knowledge of operational procedures and tools obtained through extensive work experience and require vocational or technical education. Works under limited supervision for routine situations. Provides assistance and/or may lead and training to lower-level employees. Problems typically are not routine and require analysis to understand. May lead daily operation activities.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelors degree. Advanced degree may be required.

Experience: At least six years of experience. Supervisory experience required.

Licensure: Relevant licensure/certifications required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Job requires sitting/standing for prolonged periods and frequently bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 50 - 100lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, radiation, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.

The pay range for this role is $48.38 - $64.00 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
