Overview

Supervisor - Retail Encore Boston Harbor at Wynn Las Vegas. The Encore Boston Harbor Supervisor - Retail will provide floor leadership duties and lead by example, supporting the department strategy and alignment with the Encore Boston Harbor strategy; maximizing opportunities for departmental success; maintaining all Encore Standards; and ensuring excellent guest and team member experience.

Encore Boston Harbor is a luxury global destination gaming resort featuring 671 hotel rooms with views of the Boston skyline and harbor, an ultra-premium spa, luxury retail, high-end dining, and state-of-the-art ballroom and meeting spaces. It is a $2.6 billion private development and includes a six-acre waterfront park with a harbor walk, events lawn, public viewing areas, and retail and dining experiences overlooking the Encore Harbor Walk.

Responsibilities
  • Ensures all Encore Boston Harbor core values and property and department standards are implemented and applied.
  • Participates in short- and long-term departmental goals, objective, policies, and operating procedures; monitors and evaluates operational effectiveness; implements changes as required for improvement.
  • Supervises daily activities to maintain departmental performance, and the accuracy, confidentiality, and thoroughness of departmental policies and procedures; records and reports.
  • Supports the management and performance of team members under area of responsibility.
  • Monitors department activities to ensure compliance with applicable internal policies, federal and state laws, rules, regulations, and controls property-wide.
  • Facilitates communication by organizing and presiding over regularly scheduled departmental meetings and cross-department coordination.
  • Supports employee engagement within the department; provides training opportunities, constructive feedback, and creates a motivating environment.
  • Delivers professional internal and external guest service, addressing guest and team member issues as appropriate.
  • Manages multiple priorities, meeting deadlines, often in high-pressure situations.
  • Promotes positive, fair, and ethical relations with all team members, Encore contractors, and community interactions as an ambassador of the Wynn brand.
  • Partners with associates to improve selling skills and achieve sales goals and KPIs.
  • Understands how to build a clientele in a luxury environment and in a cashier environment.
  • Demonstrates analytical, conceptual, creative, flexible, and detail-oriented thinking with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Leads a high-performing customer-facing service team; coaches and provides feedback as necessary.
  • Manages customer flow to ensure the best possible service and that no client is left unattended.
  • Leads by example to deliver excellent service to customers.
  • Demonstrates problem-solving skills, prioritization, and a sense of urgency; acts as a strategic thinker with ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Works with safety as a priority and follows department and company safety standards.
  • Maintains current knowledge of the industry through continuing education and training.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Age, Gaming And Certifications
21 years of age or above. Will be required to obtain and maintain registration or a license issued by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission.

Education And/or Experience
High school degree or equivalent preferred. Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience preferred. Minimum 2 years of Retail experience required, with a prior leadership role preferred. Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and motivational abilities. Results-driven and adaptable to change. Additional job-specific knowledge as necessary.

Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents; fluency in English required; second language a plus. Ability to write detailed instructions and present information effectively in one-on-one and group settings.

Mathematical Skills & Reasoning
Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations; decipher reports and maintain records. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Physical Demands

May require reaching with arms, climbing or balancing, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
