Job summary

Southwest Airlines is seeking a Ramp Supervisor to lead Ramp Agents and ensure aircraft arrive and depart on schedule. You will guide the team, enforce safety rules, and keep equipment ready for use.

Supervisors also handle scheduling, training, and daily reports, coordinating with Airport Operations to solve problems and share updates. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading people and delivering safe, efficient service.

Responsibilities

  • Actively coordinate with all Departments to maintain the station's on-time performance, employee morale, and Customer satisfaction
  • Monitor and guide ground support performance to ensure requirements are met
  • Ensure all equipment including GSE is maintained and available for the operation
  • Oversee day-to-day airport operations to create a safe, secure, and legally compliant service-conscious environment. Meet or exceed performance goals through effective decision making, monitor and assign gate control for flights, assign and track Agents for training compliance
  • Maintain a safe working environment and institute programs designated to help reduce accidents and injuries
  • Coordinate actively with all Departments to maintain the Station's on-time performance, Report status updates to leaders and employees consistently
  • Drive performance processes by forecasting operational situations that may impact the operation, monitoring and achieving results against key metrics, and holding responsible parties accountable for results, Review and ensure accurate delay coding
  • Work with staff planning to build bids that are in line with our Department's hourly goals.
  • Perform administrative duties daily, such as building of shift bids, closing bids, daily work assignments, daily payroll, and attendance reports, monitoring staffing in all areas and verifying that overtime is used properly

Pay & Benefits

Pay of $36.00 to $37.50 per hour*, depending on qualifications and experience. Opportunities for overtime and shift premiums. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the Company.

Want to lead a Team that keeps planes moving safely and on time? Ramp Supervisors at Southwest Airlines manage Ramp Agents and make sure aircraft arrive and depart on schedule. They guide the Team, check that safety rules are followed, and keep equipment ready for use. Supervisors also handle scheduling, training, and daily reports. They work with other Airport Operations Teams to solve problems and share updates. This role is great for someone who enjoys leading People and helping Southwest deliver safe, efficient, and on-time service every day.

Additional details

The Supervisor Ramp works assigned shifts based on seniority. Shifts can include early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays.
