Summary:

This position is responsible for maintaining high production, quality, and yields while ensuring a safe working environment. It requires understanding and control of the production process, accurate record keeping, and general line maintenance and staffing.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Checking daily production orders to ensure fulfillment of customer orders.
  2. Ensuring every position is filled before start-up of the production line.
  3. Overseeing Team Member morning exercises and job rotation for ergonomics.
  4. Ensuring machinery performs to the highest standards.
  5. Ensuring all workstations pass USDA Inspection.
  6. Promoting safety daily and through monthly safety meetings.
  7. Ensuring accurate shipments, inventory rotation, and proper product coding.
  8. Communicating company benefits and policies to Team Members.
  9. Encouraging Team Members to build a strong team.
  10. Performing human relations functions such as training, retaining, and counseling.
  11. Overseeing processing operations and collaborating with other supervisors.
  12. Keeping records of reworked or returned products.
  13. Providing education on quality importance.
  14. Performing other duties as needed.

Requirements include:

  • 1-3 years experience in manufacturing; supervisory experience preferred.
  • High school diploma; further education preferred.
  • Basic computer skills helpful.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Supervisory experience in related tasks.
  • Travel: 1-5 trips per year.
