Job summary

Maersk is hiring for a warehouse supervisor in Lake City, GA, overseeing inbound/outbound activities and a 20+ person team. The role oversees scheduling, staffing, safety, and payroll, ensuring inventory accuracy and adherence to procedures.

The shift runs Tue–Sat 10am–7pm, with benefits and a pay range of $60,000–$65,000 per year. This position emphasizes operational efficiency and cross-functional coordination within a large logistics network.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Review inbound appointment log and open order report daily to plan work activities.
  • Plan inbound and outbound schedules to meet customer metrics.
  • Determine staffing needs and schedule staff accordingly.
  • Assign workers to duties based on workload and shipping schedules.
  • Review and update operational procedures and communicate them to warehouse staff.
  • Track productivity and evaluate performance by function and department.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy with Inventory Control.
  • Oversee payroll of the department.
  • Advise staff on handling of items and use of equipment; ensure safety procedures are followed.
  • Resolve employee grievances and maintain team harmony.

This integrated network will service multi-channels like B2B, B2C, B2B2C, e-commerce, direct to store, dropship, returns, and more, leveraging asset-based, asset-light, and non-asset models.Summary:Supervises and coordinates activities of workers concerned with ordering, receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and parts, in stockroom, warehouse, or yard by performing the following duties.Shift: Tue-Sat 10am to7pmResponsibilities:• Reviews inbound appointment log and open order report each day in order to plan work activities.• Plans inbound and out bound schedules accordingly to meet customer metrics.• Determines staffing needs based on work load and schedules staff accordingly.• Assigns workers to specific duties based on work load and shipping schedules.• Reviews and updates operational procedures as necessary and ensures they are communicated to and understood by the warehouse associates.• Tracks productivity and qualifies performance by individual, function, and department.• Works with Inventory Control to ensure the highest level of inventory accuracy possible.• Manages payroll of department.• Advises employees on handling of items received, stored, and shipped; methods and use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping stock; and related problems.• Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies.• Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.• Issues written and oral instructions.• Ensures that proper safety procedures are followed.• Maintains harmony among workers and resolves grievances.Supervisory Responsibilities:Directly supervises 20+ employees in the area of Operations. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
