Job summary

Renown Health is seeking a Supply Chain Supervisor to lead day-to-day operations of supply chain staff, including Supervisors and Inventory Specialists. You will manage inventory accuracy, distribution to clinical areas, and cross-functional communication with nursing, physicians, and vendors.

The role requires 3+ years of supply chain experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity, plus a valid driver’s license. Strong MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to perform job duties safely and effectively.
• Bachelor's degree or year-for-year experience in lieu of degree required.
• 3+ years supply chain experience required; at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory position preferred.
• Valid State of Nevada or California driver's license and ability to pass Renown Health's DMV criteria.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Word) and ability to use computer for online learning and policies.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Supply Chain Technicians and Supply Chain Inventory Specialists.
• Oversee 24/7 management of inventory control and distribution of patient and surgical supplies, haptic materials and equipment.
• Communicate supply chain issues to nursing, physicians, cross-functional leaders, marketing, and vendors.
• Schedule staff to cover nursing units, surgical services, construction, and administration.
• Coordinate new stock evaluations with purchasing and user departments; participate in policy changes and capital equipment recommendations.
• Oversee downtime procedures and emergency preparedness inventory controls; participate in hiring decisions.

Job description

Purpose

This position supervises all aspects day to day duties of supply chain operations staff. This position provides direct supervision Supply Chain Technicians and Supply Chain Inventory Specialists.

Nature and Scope

This position is accountable for the 24-hour, 7 day a week management of human and material resources in the inventory control and distribution of patient supplies, surgical supplies, in-house printed material, and equipment. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory, providing efficient distribution of product to clinical areas and support segments as needed. This person must be able to communicate supply chain issues effectively to nursing groups, physicians, cross functional leaders, marketing, and vendors. This position may conduct periodic reviews of PAR Carts, obsolete inventory, expired inventory, etc. and assure rotation of stock. This position is responsible for scheduling staff to cover day to day duties of nursing units, surgical services, construction, and administration (and any other support segment as necessary). New stock evaluations must be coordinated with purchasing and user departments. This position is responsible for implementation and direct communication with the departments served on changes in product, process, or policy. This position may include recommendations for capital equipment, procurement, changes to policy and procedure, and decision regarding setting patient pricing on market sensitive items. This position is responsible for managing all downtime procedures for deployment of supply inclusive of safety stock for emergency preparedness. This position is directly involved with hiring and termination approval of potential constituents. This position is responsible for the assessment of training of new team members and/or delegation of appropriate training. This position has the authority to relocate equipment within the acute hospital to increase work efficiency, secure rental equipment from vendors, make changes in floor assignments and/or special projects as needed to improve workflow. This position does not provide patient care

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to perform job duties safely and effectively. Bachelor's degree or year for year experience in lieu of degree required.
• Experience: 3+ years supply chain experience required. At least 1 year in a lead or supervisory position preferred
• License(s): Valid State of Nevada or California driver's license and ability to pass Renown Health's Department of Motor Vehicle Report criteria.

• Computer / Typing: Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and Word and have the ability to use the computer to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
