Job summary

Methodist Hospital in San Antonio is seeking a Radiology Supervisor to maintain high standards in imaging, supervise staff, and ensure exceptional patient care while coordinating with the department manager on equipment maintenance and quality improvement.

You will oversee daily operations of radiology sections, assign tasks, manage supplies, and lead training to meet service line goals and hospital plans, joining a team dedicated to community health and outstanding service.

Qualifications

• Certification: Certificate of Training from an accredited Radiology Technology Program or AS/BS in Radiologic Technology.
• Requires two years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist in a hospital setting.
• Supervisory or leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee efficient operation of imaging sections and supervise staff.
• Instruct and assign work to staff within the sections.
• Ensure the highest level of patient care and manage section stock items.
• Coordinate with the section Manager on equipment maintenance and quality improvement plans.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Radiology Supervisor is responsible for maintaining a high standard of work in the imaging section(s) to include: Efficient operation of the section(s); the supervision, instruction and assignment of the work of the employees within the section(s); ensuring the highest level of care is given to all patients; and ordering and keeping necessary stock items for the section(s). In coordination with the section Manager, assumes responsibility for the maintenance and preventive maintenance of section(s) equipment; establishes and conducts section meetings; implements and monitors section quality improvement plan that is in concert with the Hospital plan.

What qualifications you will need:

Either a Certificate of Training from an accredited Radiology Technology Program or an Associates of Science or above from an accredited Radiologic Technology Program

Two years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist in a hospital setting

Supervisory Or Leadership Experience Preferred

Employee completes initial and ongoing training and competencies as defined by service line, facility and department/unit which are specific to the needs of the patient population served (if applicable).

Minimum License, Certificates, or Registrations Required:

• Must have and maintain Medical Radiologic License from Texas Medical Board.
• Must have and maintain ARRT
• Must have and maintain BLS
