Job summary

AdventHealth Orlando is seeking a skilled Medical Dosimetrist to join our radiation oncology team. The role supervises and coordinates daily dosimetry operations, collaborates with radiation oncologists and medical physicists to design, evaluate, and implement patient-specific treatment plans using advanced planning systems.

You will mentor dosimetrists, help develop SOPs, monitor workflow and resource allocation, and ensure compliance with institutional, state, and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• Must have 5+ years of experience as a certified medical dosimetrist.
• CMD certification is required.
• Proficiency with radiation therapy planning software.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

Job Description

Schedule: Monday - Friday Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the dosimetry team to ensure accurate and timely development of radiation treatment plans. Collaborate closely with radiation oncologists and medical physicists to design, evaluate, and implement patient-specific treatment plans using advanced planning systems. Provide mentorship, training, and performance evaluations for medical dosimetrists to support professional development and maintain high standards of care. Monitor workflow and resource allocation to optimize efficiency and ensure timely patient care and makes changes as needed to the workflow and allocation to enhance efficiency. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices for dosimetry activities in compliance with institutional, state, and federal regulations. Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to discuss complex cases and ensure alignment across clinical teams. Stay informed of technological advancements and recommend or implement updates to treatment planning software and hardware. Acts as a backup dosimetrist as necessary to support clinical need. Other duties as assigned.

Licenses and Certifications

• Registered Technologist - Radiation Therapy (R.T.(T)(ARRT)) [Preferred]

Pay Range

$121,971.20 - $226,865.60
