Posting Title: Materials Supervisor

Reports To: Plant Manager

Location: Salt Lake City, UT

Salary Range: $52,250 to $68,000

*This position is eligible for the annual performance bonus plan.

The starting pay will vary based on market location and candidate qualifications. Compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. Employees also receive a comprehensive benefits program.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Execute essential job functions like receiving, inspecting, and moving materials to inventory and production. Prepare, document, and package for shipment.

  • Manages the shipping and receipt of all products, materials and supplies, recording inventory locations.
  • Partners and communicates with Production Managers and Vendor Partners to complete tasks required to meet project goals and support production.
  • Tracks and assists in managing inventory levels and helps determine material requirements for new projects.
  • Works with assembly and quality groups to ensure all issues are closed and inspections are complete before bagging operation.
  • Supervises bagging and loading operations.
  • Tracks, traces, and updates the status of incoming and outgoing materials.
  • Contributes to a clean, orderly, and safe work environment and follows all company and OSHA safety requirements.
  • Supervises the prompt unloading of trucks and package deliveries, and confirms inventory system status.
  • Performs daily cycle counts and updates inventory daily.
  • Maintains an accurate log sheet of daily moves, scanning inventory, and counts accurately.
  • Engages with all personnel with courtesy, respect, and enthusiasm.
  • Supervises scanning and sorting of incoming and outgoing stock.
  • Supervises receiving, stacking, storing, and loading of trucks and material.
  • Tracks and schedules material movement to production lines.
ABOUT YOU
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of MRP systems.
  • Minimum travel required for training.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications, is qualifying.

Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Licensure/Certifications: N/A

Experience: 2 years of college or equivalent work experience in the manufacturing or construction industry desired

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Travel to assembly plant and/or vendors which may be loud and/or dirty.
  • Majority of time spent in a factory and office environment.
  • Required to sit, stand at a desk/computer, and/or walk the production floor for extended periods.
  • Hard hat, gloves, safety glasses, and appropriate footwear required (supplier or job site‑safety toe).
  • Ability to lift and place packages by hand weighing 40 pounds or less.
  • Ability to become forklift certified within 90 days.
  • Sitting, standing, and walking for extended time.
