DP World in Detroit is seeking a Logistics and Operations Manager to plan and coordinate receiving, shipping, storage, and distribution, ensuring efficient flow to internal departments and customers. You will lead a team, train staff, and monitor equipment operation to maintain safe, reliable processes.

The role emphasizes strong communication, leadership, and collaboration with various stakeholders across the logistics footprint.

Competenze

• High school diploma required; college degree preferred.

Plan, organize, and monitor the receiving, shipping, storage, and distribution of all items either from suppliers or production shops ensuring a smooth and consistent operation so parts and supplies are located and distributed to proper departments in an effective and efficient manner as needed to satisfy internal and external customer requirements.

Plans and coordinates work, trains and motivates, monitors and evaluates performance of team members; ensures their ability to safely operate material handling equipment to move materials to and from storage configurations.

Monitors the unloading or loading of all materials into or out of the facility. Supervise the movement of material to and from storage in an efficient, effective, and safe manner.

Identify and eliminate safety and housekeeping hazards to minimize workplace accidents.

Other duties as assigned.

Your Key Qualifications

Position requires a high school diploma. A college degree is preferred.

Experience supervising in an automotive or logistics based industry.

Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.

Ability to communicate and deal with a variety of people including internal and external customers, management, and functional departments.
