NorthStar Medical Radioisotopes, Beloit, WI, seeks a Material Handling & Manufacturing Support Supervisor to lead the team, align production with schedules, and ensure strict cGMP adherence. You will coach and train staff, drive improvements, and maintain precise records within the ERP system.

The role requires a degree in Business or related field and 3+ years of related experience, with preferred lead experience in a medical/pharmaceutical setting.

Position

The Material Handling & Manufacturing Support Supervisor will be responsible for the development and performance of the Material Handling and Manufacturing Support team in a medical/pharmaceutical environment ensuring compliance with cGMP standards, FDA regulations, and company policies. Lead and promote continuous improvement activities to maximize efficiencies in order to exceed customer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for labor assignments and prioritization of the Material Handling and Manufacturing Support team to support the production schedule, operational needs, and campus priorities
• Suggest/investigate opportunities for process simplification and continuous improvement efforts.
• Responsible to participate in and recommend hiring decisions related to Material Handling and Manufacturing Support needs.
• Responsible for ensuring production schedule orders are picked on time and accurately following all cGMP and cGDP requirements.
• Responsible to ensure assemblies are completed on time with accurate Internal Assembly Records that are reviewed prior to submission to the Quality Unit.
• Ensure inventory accuracy, audit readiness, discrepancy resolution, and proper ERP transactions are completed.
• Act as lead trainer for the team. Create, review, and maintain training records to ensure employees are trained on tasks they perform. Assist and coordinate these training activities with entire staff.
• Train, mentor, and provide day-to-day direction to team members. Assist employees in resolving issues and problems.
• Review and participate in revisions to procedures, work instructions, job aids, and other controlled documents for the Material Handling and Manufacturing Support team. Create and collaborate on DCOs as required.
• Assist in the investigation of Events, Deviations, NCMRs, and/or CAPAs within the NorthStar quality guidelines.
• Attend Material Review Board disposition meetings for the Material Handling & Manufacturing Support department.
• Participate in prototype build releases of new manufacturing assemblies.
• Assume responsibilities of the Department Manager in his/her absence.
• Monitor labor hours and departmental expenses to assure budget accuracy.

Early Development

After 3 months, you will:

• Lead the morning huddle.
• Understand the manufacturing schedule and set priorities for the team.
• Complete initial training on all required documents and assemblies.

After 6 months, you will:

• Understand and become proficient in manufacturing assemblies.
• Accurately pick and verify work orders.
• Become proficient in ERP transactions and discrepancy resolution.
• Begin working on continuous improvement projects.
• Manage equipment onboarding, calibrations, and maintenance requirements.

Qualifications

Minimum Education/Experience Requirements

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field and minimum three (3) years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Education/Experience

At least two (2) years of lead experience preferred. Experience within a cGMP medical/pharmaceutical manufacturing environment is also preferred.

Working Conditions

Physical demands may include, but not be limited to, specific vision abilities including near vision/acuity and visual color discrimination.

This role may involve working in a controlled cleanroom environment, general office setting, or specific manufacturing areas. Conditions may include:

• Exposure to varying temperatures, both indoors (heated/air-conditioned spaces) and outdoors
• Noise levels range from quiet to loud, depending on the work area
• Specific vision abilities, including near vision, visual acuity, and color discrimination

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required and may include:

• Respirators, gloves, safety glasses, and full protective clothing
• Compliance with cleanroom gowning protocols (e.g., removal of all jewelry, including piercings)
• Prohibition of cosmetics, fragrances (perfume, aftershave), and nail products, including polish, artificial nails, or extensions

As a radiopharmaceutical manufacturing site, radiation may be present in the laboratory and production areas. Employees in this role may be required to:

• Follow strict radiation safety procedures
• Participate in dosimetry monitoring and bioassay testing as part of the company protocol
• Inform leadership of any health conditions that may affect product integrity, by cleanroom standards
