Cardinal Health in Indianapolis seeks a Supervisory Manufacturing Engineer to lead staff, plan production schedules, and ensure equipment and facility sustainability. You will work with EHS, manage budgets, and maintain regulatory compliance across the plant.
The role requires strong supervision, problem-solving, and communication skills, with experience in a nuclear environment and exposure to radiopharmaceuticals. Training is provided to align with GMP standards.
What Manufacturing Engineering contributes to Cardinal Health Engineering is responsible for performing research and analyses to develop design options for components, products, systems and processes. Manufacturing Engineering is responsible for developing manufacturing processes, production floor layouts and associated tools. Reviews new designs for manufacturability. Designs process improvements to reduce product cost, process cycle time and improved product quality.
The Supv, Manufacturing Engr identifies hazardous conditions, applies appropriate codes and standards and recommends preventative and corrective action along with ensuring that all accidents or near accidents are investigated and documented properly. This role works cooperatively with Technicians and Operators to help make informed decisions to maximize machine reliability and process optimization along with analyzing manufacturing issues, participating in projects, controlling spare parts and maintains preventative procedures within the plant. This job takes ownership and effectively prioritizes, plans and schedules work and applies critical thinking to determine adequacy of controls preventing equipment breakdowns.
