Job summary

Resilience is seeking a Supervisor, Manufacturing - DAP in the United States to lead shift-level execution, manage staff, and coordinate with MSAT, Engineering, and Quality to meet production and quality commitments. The role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and a focus on safety and continuous improvement.

You will drive staffing, schedule coverage, and process confirmations while ensuring cGMP compliance and adherence to EHS standards.

Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of packaging or manufacturing operations in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or cGMP-regulated environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and writing skills, with ability to lead and develop a team while exercising independent judgment on routine operations.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams on initiatives that affect the DAP Operation.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and computer applications.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes safe work practices and holds the shift accountable to external and Resilience EHS standards daily.

Brief Job Description

The Supervisor, Manufacturing - DAP owns the shift-level execution of the DAP Line Operation - its people, resources, and schedule - directing staff and equipment to deliver production, quality, cost, and safety commitments set for the operation under the PET (Process Execution Team) operating strategy, and coordinating with MSAT, Engineering, and Quality so the operation's deliverables meet site production and quality commitments. Leading the shift's technician staff, the Supervisor is accountable for effective employee relations and for compliance with cGMP, other regulatory, and SOX requirements, as well as EHS obligations and Resilience standards, in an operation where failures are difficult to recover from.

Job Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of technicians and direct the use of equipment and materials to meet production, quality, safety, and cost targets in accordance with area Standard Operating Procedures.

  • Confirms the process executed meets standards by conducting process confirmations

  • Coordinates staffing, scheduling, and coverage for their assigned shift.

  • Performs Manufacturing Manager duties when designated, including representing DAP in cross-functional activities and client interactions.

  • Drives continuous improvement in efficiency, quality, production, and safety, using team-based problem solving, KPIs, and recognition to engage staff.

  • Partners with MSAT and Engineering to resolve process problems and optimize performance.

  • Participates in the design, selection, installation, and qualification of new equipment, facilities, and processes.

  • Supports life-cycle management of PET and facility assets, providing input on equipment needs and capital planning.

  • Works across PETs and shifts to maintain product flow, share best practices, and reinforce lean behaviors.

  • Promotes safe work practices and holds the shift accountable to external and Resilience EHS standards daily.

Documentation & Compliance
  • Maintains documentation practices to company standards across manufacturing documents, training records, and production logs.

  • Authors, reviews, revises, and approves SOPs and work instructions to integrate cGMPs and improve process efficiency.

  • Breaks down and explains processes documented in the SOP, guiding the team on how to execute them, and communicates changes to the team

  • Ensures cGMP compliance so all FDA and international regulations are met, supporting internal audits and responding to observations for the shift/area.

  • Investigates and resolves deviations, initiates and approves investigations as appropriate, and responds to product complaint notifications.

  • Reviews and implements change actions and corrective actions as assigned.

Training & Development
  • Fosters a positive work environment by administering people policies, communicating with employees, and responding to their concerns.

  • Builds team capability, implementing training and qualification programs for their team, partnering with the Training Coordinator on training activities.

  • Manages and develops a team of direct reports, owning hiring, performance management, and career development.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Basic knowledge of packaging or manufacturing operations in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other cGMP-regulated environment.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and writing skills, with demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team while exercising independent judgment on routine operations.

  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams on initiatives that affect the DAP Operation.

  • Basic knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and Computer applications.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, a related science, or Business.

  • 5+ years of experience in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or cGMP-regulated manufacturing environment, including previous supervisory or leadership experience.

  • Experience working in a Lean manufacturing environment.

  • Strong mechanical, electrical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Knowledge or previous experience in managing technical programs/projects.

  • Training or experience in formulation, filling, packaging, validation, technology transfer, change control.

  • Basic knowledge of generative AI language tools such as Claude.

Physical & Work Environment
  • Frequent (60-100%): Standing, Repetitive Motion, and Monitoring Other People's Work.

  • Occasional (20-60%): Sitting and Walking.

  • Infrequent (<20%): Lifting/Carrying 20 lbs., Working at Heights of 5 ft., Bending, Stooping, Twisting, Reaching, Noise Exposure, Operating Vehicles, Operating Moving Machinery, Chemical Usage, and Traveling.

  • Use of personal protective equipment, which can include respirators, Personal Air Purifying Respirators [PAPR], gowns, gloves, face protection, other barrier equipment, etc.

  • All employees are expected to adhere to the Quality Management System established in the Quality Manual, Quality Policy, Standard Operating Procedures, Current Good Manufacturing Practices, and any other applicable regulations and standards to the duties within their role.

  • Specific visual skills, including extensive reading or computer use, normal color vision, depth perception, and visual acuity; and specific hearing requirements, including interpreting sounds at volume levels consistent with interpersonal or group conversations, interpreting letters and numbers viewed on a computer screen, monitor, reports, and other documents, and identifying and distinguishing colors; Ability to pass eye exam during onboarding.

Work Schedule: Night Shift - 6pm-630am with a 12-hour rotation on a 2 nights on, 2 nights off, 3 nights on, 3 nights off with the rotation starting over.

Our target base pay hiring range for this position is $75,000.00 - $112,500.00 per year.
