Job summary

HD Supply is seeking a supervisor to oversee shop associates in a manufacturing and assembly environment. You will plan and assign work, implement policies and procedures and propose improvements in production methods, equipment, and working conditions.

The role emphasizes strong people leadership, coaching, timely employment decisions, safety, inventory control, and cost-quality tradeoffs. You will lead continuous improvement initiatives, conduct accident investigations, and ensure attendance

Qualifications

Nature and Scope

Experience provides solutions. Ensures that work is performed consistently with company policies and procedures. Leads a group or team of support, craft, or lower level professional associates.

Work Environment

Typically located in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors that may cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness, such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes. Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles. Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Education and Experience
