Job summary

George's Processing is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor in Springdale, AR to plan and supervise cost-effective, timely maintenance for all equipment. You will direct maintenance staff, work with contractors, and troubleshoot technical problems across the plant.

Required: high school diploma and 5+ years in maintenance roles, plus strong communication and computer skills. Prior poultry plant experience and leadership are a plus. Safety oriented and capable of coordinating schedules and training.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in progressively responsible maintenance roles
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
• Preferred Poultry plant maintenance experience
• Previous supervisory/leadership experience
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Basic Computer skills

• Instruct the use of personal protective equipment
• Implement new ergonomics improvements within the facility
• Coordinate team member schedules, handle clock reports and attendance records

SUMMARY:

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for planning and supervising the execution of cost effective and timely maintenance necessary for the operation of all equipment. This includes directing, coordinating, and supporting maintenance personnel, working with contractors, vendors, or company engineering in the modification or installation of equipment, and troubleshooting and resolving new and/or different technical problems regarding equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain relevant records and ensuring OSHA standards and programs are implemented.
• Instruct the use of personal protective equipment.
• Implementing new ways of improving ergonomics within the facility.
• Coordinate team member schedules, handle clock reports and attendance records.
• Hold consistent safety meetings.
• Complete other tasks as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will have supervisory responsibility.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
