Job summary

Yanfeng US Automotive Interior Systems II LLC in Hoover, AL, seeks an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead industrial maintenance, coordinate preventive maintenance, and ensure machine uptime in an automotive plant.

The role requires hands-on hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and welding skills, plus safety leadership, budgeting, and team development. Travel to customer sites may be required; strong leadership is essential.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, coordinate and direct maintenance and construction work to ensure proper workmanship, materials and safety.
• Meet with senior management regularly and provide monthly budgets and project status; may also engage with technical partners and customers.
• Conduct team meetings, set objectives, monitor progress, and perform annual performance reviews with feedback and potential promotions or salary adjustments.
• Ensure all employees follow safety guidelines and intervene to correct unsafe actions and conditions; report all accidents including first aid.

Job description

• Previous Supervisory experience (in injection molding a Plus)
• Perform & diagnose hydraulic leaks and PMs.
• Be able to read advanced electrical and blueprint schematic.
• Have experience with Integrated circuit troubleshooting; wire control circuits for 24VDC, and 120, 240, 480 VAC
• Advanced pneumatic circuit design.
• Welding skills and experience with welding tools.
• Ensure all employees follow the safety guidelines established by the Company. Noncompliance to the safety policies will result in disciplinary action and/or termination; Actively intervene to correct recognized unsafe actions and conditions.
• Conduct daily observations of PPE use and safe work practices adherence and coach employees as needed; Ensure that all accidents including first aid are reported.
• Oversee hourly employee timecards, including approvals for overtime and vacation within the Infor system.
• Capable of sizing motor starters and overloads for application.
• Ability to maintain machine functionality.
• Ability to complete employee development plans, organize, communicate, and motivate employees. Must be able to prioritize own work-day schedule.
• Schedules, coordinates and directs all necessary maintenance and construction work. Makes preliminary, intermediate and final inspection of maintenance and construction work to ensure proper workmanship, materials and conformance to work methods and safety regulations.
• Meets with senior management regularly and provides monthly budgets and project status; May also meet with his counterparts, technical partners and customers.
• Conducts regular meetings with teams, whether as a whole or through one-on-one discussions. They provide each team member an objective or goal that they will monitor progress or status on throughout the year. They then conduct performance reviews of team members and gives them feedback, as well as makes promotion recommendations or salary increases if applicable.
• Bachelor's Level Degree desirable
• Area of Study: Engineering, Technical Engineering Degree or similar.
• Equivalent work experience may also be considered for certain positions.
• 2-5 Minimum Years of Experience with Industrial Maintenance experience.
• 3-5 Minimum Years of Experience within the automotive industry.
• Must be able and willing to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants which might require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces.
• Electronic’s theory; OHM’s Law; Hydraulics theory & functionality.
• Forklift experience. (Certification will be required).
• Overhead crane experience (Certification will be required).
• TS 16949 awareness.
• ISO 14001 orientation / awareness training.
