Job summary

Providence Seward Medical Center seeks an RN-Team Advisor to direct and supervise the 24-hour care of assigned elders, delivering whole-person care in an elder-directed model. Responsible for implementing and evaluating the care plan and ensuring regulatory compliance.

You will supervise CNAs, RNs, and LPNs across shifts, fostering teamwork and professional growth in an innovative setting designed to transform elders' lives in Alaska.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Alaska RN License upon hire.
• BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
• 1 year of clinical nursing.
• Gero nursing experience is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise 24-hour elder care teams (RNs, LPNs, CNAs).
• Implement and evaluate the elder's comprehensive plan of care.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and quality of care/quality of life.
• Foster teamwork and professional growth in an innovative care setting.

The RN-Team Advisor directs and supervises the 24-hour care of assigned elders to deliver whole-person care in an innovative elder-directed care model. Responsible for the implementation and ongoing evaluation of the elder's comprehensive plan of care. Uses established work systems and processes to facilitate quality of care and quality of life while ensuring ongoing regulatory compliance with all applicable laws and professional standards of practice. Facilitates effective communication of elder needs and issues to the clinical support team. Supervises Certified Nursing Assistants, RNs and LPNs within 24-hour teams for the assigned group of elders. Fosters positive change, professional/program growth and teamwork in an innovative care setting designed to be transformational in the lives of elders and those who care for them.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Upon hire: Alaska Registered Nurse License
• Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• 1 year Clinical nursing.
• In gerontological nursing is necessary to perform the essential functions of this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree Nursing
• 1 year Clinical supervisory, management or resource.
• In long-term care.
