Job summary

Concord Hospital is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor to coordinate daily operations and licensure of the Laboratory Patient Service Centers and related testing workflows. The role supports staff selection, orientation, training and daily direction of personnel under the Laboratory Support Operations Manager (Concord) or Director of Laboratory Services (Laconia/Franklin).

Qualifications

  • Position requires an Associate's degree, 3-5 years' relevant experience, and phlebotomy certification from a nationally recognized accreditation body.
  • 5 years experience in phlebotomy or a related lab discipline. At least 1 of those 5 years in a supervisory/leadership position is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates the monthly, weekly and daily staff schedules for direct reports.
  • Responsible for candidate selection, orientation, competence, and development of new and existing staff.
  • Develops and monitors quality assurance and improvement activities.
  • Works collaboratively with clients and patients to meet customer needs and solicit feedback to improve service.
  • Monitors annual section financial goals.
  • Reviews policies and procedures within their area of responsibility.
  • Conducts regular staff meetings within section.
  • Manages workload and processes.
  • Takes responsibility for individual performance goals.
  • Supervises all aspects of referral laboratory testing.
  • Coordinates and monitors all specimen processing equipment for compliance documentation, functional operational checks, and routine maintenance.

Flexible hours to support both evening and night shift staff.


Flexible hours to support both evening and night shift staff. Evening shift is 1 PM - 9:30 PM, night shift coverage is 12 AM - 7:30 AM. Total weekly hours are 35.


Summary

Under the direction of the Laboratory Support Operations Manager (Concord) or the Director of Laboratory Services (Laconia/Franklin), coordinates the daily operations and licensure of the Laboratory Patient Service Centers (PSCs), or coordinates the operation of the Laboratory Specimen Processing, Outreach Phlebotomy and referral testing, including staff selection, orientation, training and daily direction of staff.


Is an active participant of the Laboratory Management Team.


Education

Position requires an Associate\'s degree, 3-5 years\' relevant experience, and phlebotomy certification from a nationally recognized accreditation body.
