Job summary

HPC‑Industrial, a Clean Harbors company, is seeking a Supervisor IS to lead two or more crews at a customer site. You will plan, direct, and coordinate daily operations of the service line, ensure equipment readiness, and drive efficiency while upholding safety and quality standards.

You will maintain client relations, train technicians, and manage paperwork and field processes. A strong safety culture and organization are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in industrial cleaning; prior supervisory experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Safety training, on‑the‑job training, and essential experience required.
  • English proficiency to understand safety training and emergency instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Instructs, provides feedback, and directs crew to meet client requirements and Company policies.
  • Schedule jobs and crews; may dispatch at night or on weekends.
  • May act as Operations Manager or Branch Manager when requested.
  • Read work orders and ensure equipment is available and operational before starting a job.
  • Inspect equipment and work area to correct deficiencies and prevent accidents or lost productivity.
  • Inform clients about job status and requirements.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment.
  • Complete paperwork including service receipts and submit to management.
  • Train technicians on equipment operation and service line processes.
  • Operate service line equipment (chemical, hydro-blasting, painting, blasting, vacuum) safely.
  • Assist in coordination of roll‑off logistics, moves, re‑spots, and deliveries.
  • Conduct weekly inspections.

Supervisor IS (Industrial Services)

HPC-Industrial, Powered by Clean Harbors, is looking for a Supervisor IS to work at a customer location and to join their safety‑conscious team. This team member is responsible for two or more crews by planning, leading, organizing, and coordinating the daily operations of the service line crew. This includes ensuring proper operation of equipment, driving operational efficiencies at the work site, and completing accurate documentation in a timely fashion. The Supervisor IS maintains compliance with all Company policies and procedures and improves customer relations by providing quality, timely industrial cleaning services. The Supervisor IS serves as a representative of HPC‑Industrial in building a continuous working relationship with clients and customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Instructs, provides feedback, and directs crew in performance of duties to meet client requirements and Company policies.
  • May schedule jobs and crews.
  • May dispatch crews based on calls received on nights and weekends.
  • May act as Operations Manager or Branch Manager when requested.
  • Reads work orders and ensures all required equipment is available and operational before starting a job.
  • Inspects equipment and the work area prior to starting any job; corrects deficiencies that may cause accidents, injuries, or lost productivity.
  • Informs clients as required regarding job status and client requirements.
  • Performs preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment when required.
  • Completes all appropriate paperwork, including service receipts, and submits to designated management.
  • Trains technicians and operators on-the-job in equipment operation, service line processes, and necessary paperwork.
  • Operates all necessary equipment in the service line (chemical, hydro‑blasting, painting, blasting, and vacuum) in accordance with training and safety procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and ability in people management.
  • Strong knowledge in operating equipment used in the service line.
  • Ability to comprehend the English language, written and verbal.
  • Strong Microsoft Office, Outlook and Excel skills; Microsoft Access is a plus.
  • Experience with Win Web (HPC Software).
  • Attention to detail & highly organized.
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience troubleshooting equipment is preferred.
  • CDL, forklift and backhoe certification to assist with plant operations as needed.
  • Calculate load weights for manifest completion.
  • Issue manifests correctly per waste stream, transporter, TSDF, and PO.
  • Maintain filing system for issued and returned manifests.
  • Assist HPC drivers with Win Web ticket entries as necessary.
  • Schedule pit loads at TSDFs.
  • Assist in coordination of roll‑off logistics, moves, re‑spots, and deliveries.
  • Conduct weekly inspections.
  • Inspect roll‑offs and coordinate with vacuum truck supervisor for water and oil removal.
What does it take to work at HPC‑Industrial?
  • Minimum five plus years of experience within the industrial cleaning industry; prior supervisory experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Specific vocational preparation including classroom safety training, on‑the‑job training, and essential experience gained on other jobs.
  • English language proficiency to understand safety training and respond to emergency instructions.
  • Valid driver license and compliance with company driving policy when driving company vehicle or using personal vehicle on company business.
  • OSHA certification may be required.
  • Knowledge of emergency equipment operation, such as fire extinguishers.
  • RCRA certificates.
  • May need to provide Federal Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC).
