Job Summary

Oversees the Specialty Rx project implementation processes to ensure they are cost effective and achieved in a timely manner. This position identifies, documents and monitors all project parameters required for implementation and acts as the primary point of contact for management during all implementation phases. The Supervisor Implementation Management develops team members through orientation, training, mentoring, establishment of objectives, communication of rules and performance management. It also handles adhoc, nontraditional implementations and projects as business needs arise while acting as a subject matter expert for internal/external projects and implementations.

Job Responsibilities
  • Responds as a single point of contact for Specialty Pharmacy clients on more complex implementation phases and post implementations
  • Ensures all project parameter information required for implementation is accurate, complete and supportable before committing to services with the client(s)
  • Continues to work through open items, manages risk point escalation and brings closure in a timely manner to ensure client expectations are reasonable and understood
  • Gathers, verifies, and disseminates all documented information for new client implementations
  • Ensures thorough documentation and communication with special emphasis on custom components upon completion of all implementation duties including post-implementation follow ups and ensures performance guarantees regarding implementation are understood, agreed to by both parties, documented and achieved
  • Responsible for writing and reviewing Request for Proposal (RFP) responses upon request; leads finalist meetings either by attending or providing information and materials
  • Processes complex issue resolution cases escalated from other team members; continues to work with client after implementation to resolve any issues or complete any outstanding items
  • Ensures timely response to inquiries and uses knowledge of our clients and systems to troubleshoot the problem, determines what caused the issue, initiates the appropriate steps to correct it, initiates any documentation or procedural updates needed to avoid the issue from being repeated and escalates appropriately for final reconciliation
  • Ensures department leadership is kept informed of project/implementation process, team member performance, critical issues, and achievement of major milestones; recommends mitigation strategy or improvements where appropriate
  • Leads task force committees, initiates discussion, educates other task force members and trains the team on the final product; task forces include, but are not limited to, working groups around process improvements, and the development of new products
  • Coaches, mentors and develops team members through recruitment, hiring, developmental plans, performance management, career development, training to assure appropriate resources and minimize costs for completion of projects within designated time frames
  • Develops and implements strategies and polices related to implementation
  • Functions as the subject matter expert and offers support for other team members or clients while sharing knowledge/project status on a regular basis with team members
  • Oversees strategic account management with implementation of complex components for existing clients
  • Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the development, oversight and implementation of departmental budget
  • Responsible for leading a team through teaching, coaching and inspiring by fostering a sense of energy, ownership and a responsibility for the flawless execution of operational excellence; engage in the selection and hiring process as needed
  • Other responsibilities as judgment or necessity dictate

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related area of study; or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience
  • 5 years' work experience in project management, account management, operations management, or related field
  • Experience establishing & maintaining relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization, in the business community & with vendors
  • Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
  • Experience presenting services in an articulate manner to c-suite leaders and/or external facing clients
  • Experience in identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems
  • Intermediate level skills with Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Willing to travel up to/at least 30% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Project Management Certification and/or training.
