Job summary

LG Energy Solution Arizona, Inc. in Queen Creek, AZ is seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency with a focus on continuous improvement.

You will supervise up to 35 team members on 12-hour shifts, mentor staff, manage performance, coordinate with engineering, and drive root-cause analysis to reduce defects and downtime. Experience with lean practices and ERP/MES is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; higher education preferred or relevant experience.
• 1–3 years supervising teams in a high-volume production environment.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
• Must be able to work 12-hour shifts and alternate weekends.
• Able to lift 25 lbs and maneuver in tight spaces.
• English language proficiency; written and verbal.
• Proficient with MS Office; ERP or MES experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Administer timekeeping and payroll responsibilities.

• Coordinate support organization efforts to minimize production interruptions.
• Ensure product quality and conformance to specifications.
• Process non-conforming hardware to return to conforming state and flow.
• Ensure optimization of product flow through the factory.
• Support root-cause investigation and corrective action tracking.
• Identify and eliminate defects within the area value stream.
• Support transition of product from engineering to full-rate production.

Job Summary

We are seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations and ensure that production targets are consistently met with high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of production processes, and a commitment to continuous improvement. This role involves supervising production team members, troubleshooting process issues, and working cross-functionally to support overall operation goals.

Responsibilities

• Manage, coach, mentor and support up to 35 production team members on shift, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Promote area standards and reinforce expectations for safety, housekeeping, punctuality, attendance, work performance, conducting performance reviews, and administering disciplinary action where appropriate.
• Administer timekeeping and payroll responsibilities with a zero-defect mindset.
• Improve area safety and efficiency through regular auditing and continuous improvement
• Interface with area leadership and engineering teams, and prioritize work based on production schedule and organizational goals
• Coordinate support organization efforts to minimize production interruptions
• Ensure product quality and conformance to specifications
• Process non-conforming hardware to efficiently return them to conforming state and normal product flow
• Ensure optimization of product flow through the factory
• Support issue resolution including root cause investigation & corrective action tracking
• Identify and eliminate defects within the area value stream. Ensure quality standards are being met throughout the entire production process and support no defects from leaving a station or team area
• Support efforts to transition product from engineering development to full-rate production

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; higher education preferred or relevant experience
• 1-3 years managing or supervising teams of people in a high-volume production environment
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams
• Must be able to work over 12-hours per day in support of 12-hour production shifts
• Must be able to work an alternative, compressed week schedule, including standard weekend shifts (Saturdays and/or Sundays) as required by the schedule
• Able to lift 25 lbs. unassisted, stoop, bend, crawl, and being able to maneuver in tight spaces
• Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal
• Proficient with MS office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with ERP or MES system is a plus

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Knowledge of 5S, lean manufacturing or 6-Sigma principles
• Experience in powder handling, chemical batch processing, mixing, roll winding and conveyance is preferred
• Able to adapt to constant changing work assignments and fast-paced work environment
