Summary

The Production Supervisor I is responsible for maintaining a safe and productive work environment, following all applicable regulations. Create a positive and highly effective working environment based on mutual respect and a shared goal of being the number one supplier to our customers. Establish and maintain a solid working relationship with both internal departments as well as external resources.

Responsibilities:
  • Support Team Leader and Operations Part Leader for the department
  • Manage Work Orders and other related items and follow up with related supporting teams (equipment, facilities, shipping) for timely completion
  • Track KPI’s
  • Monitor and track department production results (daily) and communicate with production teams
  • Manage the daily production meeting results and track the action items
  • Track the action items assigned to Engineers, Supervisors, and Crew Leaders (Safety Meetings, WQM, Planning Meetings, etc.)
[Supervise Coordinators]
  • Supervise production and training coordinators and oversee their work activities
  • Maintain an environment that rewards good performance and encourages initiative, quality, communication, and efficiency
  • Provide timely and consistent feedback on performance, including following the defined disciplinary process for all employee performance issues
  • Manage overall training programs of hourly (Advanced training, Skill Matrix, Alert, skill evaluation, flexibility)
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Associate Degree preferred
Experience:
  • 3 to 6+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 1 to 3+ years of leadership experience, preferably in manufacturing
  • Experience in managing departmental, team member, and individual goals
  • Experience in managing performance, and a corrective action process as needed
  • Experience or knowledge of basic accounting systems preferred
