Job summary

Baptist Health System seeks an experienced HIM leader to coordinate workflows and supervise clerical staff in the Hospital Health Information Management department.

The candidate should have an Associate's Degree in HIM with at least 1 year in an HIM or healthcare setting, and strong Microsoft Office skills. RHIT is preferred, with demonstrated leadership in HIM desirable.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Health Information Management (HIM) from an accredited program.
• Minimum 1 year in Hospital Health Information Management or similar healthcare setting.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel and Word.
• RHIT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and facilitates workflows for staff in the HIM department.
• Monitors and supervises clerical staff to ensure policy and HIM standards compliance.
• Manages the department in the absence of the HIM Manager/Director.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

school or college

PREFERRED EDUCATION:

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 1 year working experience in Hospital Health Information Management department or

similar functions in a health care setting. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel and Word.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Demonstrated leadership experience in HIM Department or similar health care

setting.
