Job Description
Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Supervisor, Flightline to join our Flightline team based in Columbus, MS. You will supervise the “Part 21” H125 and H145, and “Part 145” H125, H130, H135, H145, and H160 Flightline teams through proper planning, execution, and accomplishment of flight test schedule and goals for all repair station and production aircraft.

Working Environment
Columbus, MS is home to our Helicopter manufacturing and assembly lines and Center of Excellence for the entire North America region. We produce the UH-72A Lakota Helicopters for the U.S. Army and the H-125 aircraft for civil and commercial customers.

Challenges
Supervision (80%)
- Meet delivery schedules by supervising a team of 15‑20 flight test technicians.
- Adjust manpower and coordinate with other departments to execute over 300 production work orders for multiple Airbus Helicopters airframes.
- Ensure technicians have tools, data and support to meet schedule and quality standards.
- Maintain compliance with FAA repair station, FOP/GOP, ISO, OSHA, and other regulations through regular spot checks.
- Review training records and organize sessions for non‑training manager responsibilities.
- Conduct performance evaluations, assist hiring, and recommend promotions.
- Ensure all work on Part 21 and Part 145 aircraft is complete, inspected, and meets configuration requirements.
- Coordinate with programs, QA, and other departments for schedules, parts, documentation, and tool availability.
- Research tooling purchases and report needs to management.
Reporting (20%)
- Maintain aircraft status reports for all Part 21 and Part 145 aircraft.
- Provide manpower quotes and daily status updates to management and programs.
- Report employee health and aircraft incidents to Safety timely.
Education
- Required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Maintenance Management or equivalent work experience.
Experience
- Minimum of ten (10) years of related rotary‑wing technical experience.
- Experience resolving technical issues.
- Proficiency in FAA and FAR regulations.
- Knowledge of state and federal safety and environmental regulations for this area.
- Preferred: Working knowledge of Garmin, Microvibe, Helionix, and Vision1000 systems.
- Preferred: Experience with H125, H130, H135, H145, and H160 airframes.
Licensure/Certifications
- Required: A&P Rating and willingness to use A/P license outside of the repair station.
- Preferred: I/A Rating and OEM certification on any of the above airframes.
Travel
- 10% domestic and international travel.
Citizenship
- U.S. Person under ITAR definition (U.S. citizen, green‑card holder or covered under existing ITAR license).
Clearance
Qualified Skills
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills.
- Strong communication and technical resource abilities.
- Minimum five (5) years of component installation and troubleshooting experience.
- Preferred: 5 years flight test experience.
- Preferred: 3 years Airbus experience.
Physical Requirements
- 90% onsite presence.
- Vision, hearing, speaking, and personal computer operation abilities required.
- Capacity to carry and lift up to 30 lbs (14 kgs) daily.
- Propelled movement (push/pull, squat/kneel) and standing for discussions required.
- Bi‑monthly travel and daily walking over uneven surfaces.
- Personal Protective Equipment required per site policy.
