Job description

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.

As a Federal Materials Supervisor, you will create a strategic plan to optimize warehouse operations in strict compliance with federal regulations, create a standard set of metrics to monitor team performance, set goals for improving performance, and identify areas to reduce cost while maintaining quality and audit readiness. The right person for this role has extensive defense supply chain knowledge, has developed SOPs and implemented them under FAR/DFARS guidelines, has implemented or improved ERP/WMS with government property tracking integrations, and has a proven track record of managing expensive, federally owned inventory. If you are someone who can operate autonomously to keep a warehouse team motivated, excel under rigorous audit standards, and enjoys process improvement, this may be the role for you.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
  • Develop and implement material management strategies, policies, and procedures to comply with federal regulations, including FAR 52.245-1 (Government Property) and DFARS clauses
    • Hiring & training talent who can manage material flow per Anduril guidelines.
    • Develop processes that increase the efficiency (speed & elimination of waste) and effectiveness of Anduril materials management.
    • Implement necessary systems that match Anduril Federal policies on management of government property & inventory management.
  • Implement End-to-End material management measures, including FIFO adherence, material variances, cycle time optimization, scrap/obsolescence/disposal management (via PCARSS/eTools), cycle/physical counting, and DCMA/internal audits, to ensure 100% inventory accuracy and mitigate stockouts or overstocking. This includes the development & improvement of critical compliance metrics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, Government Property Administrators, production, manufacturing engineering, logistics, and quality, to aid in accurate demand forecasting, procurement planning, and timely delivery of materials.

Collaborate with production planning and manufacturing teams to align material availability with production schedules, minimize disruptions, and meet federal contract and customer demand on time.

Analyze material usage trends, identify opportunities for process improvements, and implement lean practices to optimize material handling, storage, and secure distribution.

Utilize ERP, WMS, and federal registry software systems (such as PIEE/WAWF) to track inventory, generate reports, and provide data-driven insights to support decision-making and optimize material-related processes.

Ensure strict compliance with regulatory requirements (including ITAR/EAR), safety standards (OSHA), and quality control protocols (AS9100) in all material management and shipping/receiving activities.

Lead and develop a high-performing warehouse team, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to foster a culture of compliant operational excellence and continuous improvement.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of experience in material management, inventory control, or supply chain management roles in an aerospace and/or defense manufacturing environment operating under federal regulations (FAR/DFARS)
  • 1+ years of experience managing a lead of supervisors, associates, or technicians
  • Familiarity with Government-Furnished Property (GFP) administration and FAR Part 45/52.245-1 requirements
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance
  • Ability to be onsite, local to Santa Ana, CA or Costa Mesa, CA
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, manufacturing, or related operations field
  • National Property Management Association (NPMA) certification (CPPS, CPPA, or CPPM)
  • Direct experience preparing for and passing DCMA Government Property Management System Audits (PMSAs)
  • Strong understanding of production rate, critical path analysis, and key warehouse fundamentals
  • Strong understanding of receiving and deployment documentation for domestic and international shipments, including ITAR/EAR export compliance and DD250 processing
  • Ability to identify safety issues with warehouse vehicles to ensure safe operations
  • Strong knowledge of AS9100 standards, FIAR compliance, and OSHA laws
  • Experience being hands-on and boots on the ground in the warehouse with proven skills in both process and equipment troubleshooting, and the ability to adapt to constantly changing defense manufacturing environments
  • Passion for employee development and enjoy the process of training and developing both new hires and veteran warehouse staff in a highly regulated environment
  • Experience supporting process development and implementing new processes (specifically transitioning from manual tracking to automated systems of record)
  • Experience supporting warehouse equipment maintenance and safety compliance
  • Knowledge of 5S, lean manufacturing, or 6-Sigma principles
  • Experience in ramping low-volume operations to high-rate military production
  • Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented with excellent verbal & written communication skills
