Job summary

MilliporeSigma is seeking a facilities supervisor to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations by overseeing building and utility systems. You will manage HVAC, plumbing, electrical infrastructure, BAS, life safety, and routine inspections to keep the site compliant with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 standards.

You will coordinate CMMS-based maintenance, manage contractor work, lead emergency response during incidents, and track expenses and reporting.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 4+ years' experience in facilities management.
  • Familiar with backup power systems (generators, UPS).
  • Experience with commercial HVAC systems (air cooled chillers, boilers, air handlers).
  • Ability to read, interpret, and modify facility drawings (P&ID, diagrams).

Responsibilities

  • Oversee upkeep of the facility to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
  • Operate and maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical infrastructure and lab exhaust systems.
  • Monitor Building Automation Systems and life-safety equipment for safety and compliance.
  • Utilize CMMS to schedule maintenance, track repairs, and source parts.
  • Supervise contractor work, manage projects, and oversee safety/compliance standards.
  • Lead emergency response and after-hours coverage for critical needs.
  • Perform routine inspections and prepare site readiness for weather events.
  • Ensure ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 documentation and records compliance.
  • Complete administrative reporting and financial tracking.

Your Role:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:



  • The facility supervisor team is responsible for the upkeep of the facility, ensuring the manufacturing operation is uninterrupted due to building and/or utility issues.

  • HVAC, Mechanical & Laboratory Systems: Operate, maintain, and repair HVAC equipment, plumbing, electrical infrastructure, and laboratory exhaust systems to ensure continuous operational safety.

  • Building Automation & Life Safety: Monitor and operate Building Automation Systems (BAS), fire alarms, fire suppression, sprinklers, UPS systems, and generators (including fueling management).

  • Work Order & Inventory Management (CMMS): Utilize the CMMS to schedule preventive maintenance, track breakdown repairs, manage handyman requests, and source required parts and materials.

  • Contractor & Project Oversight: Supervise third-party vendor contracts, oversee facility maintenance services, and manage assigned operational projects.

  • Emergency Response & On-Call Coverage: Lead emergency response teams for urgent facility incidents and provide support for critical after-hours building needs.

  • Routine Inspections & Facility Readiness: Perform regular building inspections to identify corrective maintenance, complete handyman tasks, and prepare the site for inclement weather.

  • Compliance, Quality & Safety Standards: Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal codes while maintaining equipment records to satisfy ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 requirements and safety protocols.

  • Administrative & Financial Tracking: Complete administrative reporting, including monthly CR-360 updates and semi-monthly P-Card reconciliations, along with other assigned duties.

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:


  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • 4+ years' experience in facilities management.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Familiar with backup power systems (generators, UPS).

  • Experience with commercial HVAC systems (air cooled chillers, boilers, air handlers, fan-powered terminal units).

  • Ability to read, interpret, and modify various types of facilities drawings (P&ID, one-line diagrams, equipment maps, etc.).


Pay Range for this position: $93,000 - $140,600 / year


The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses. Benefits offered by the Company include health insurance, paid time off (PTO), retirement contributions, and other prerequisites.
