Job summary

Spectrum is seeking a Construction Supervisor to lead field teams on new builds and maintenance projects. You will coordinate in-house and contract labor, ensure safety and quality standards, and drive project progress from planning through completion.

You’ll work with engineers to design layouts, monitor contractor performance, inspect sites, manage permits, and coach your crew to perform at their best. Travel to various sites is expected, and strong communication helps keep stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Associates degree in electronics, related field or equivalent.
  • Industry and vendor-specific certifications and training such as NCTI, SCTE, BCT/E

Working Conditions
  • Work in both office and field settings, including confined spaces and at varying heights

Required Qualifications
Education
  • Associates degree in electronics, related field or equivalent
  • Industry and vendor-specific certifications and training such as NCTI, SCTE, BCT/E
Experience
  • 3+ years of construction work experience
Skills
  • Leadership and supervisory skills, including motivating others and maintaining confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently, effective prioritization and organization skills
  • Proficiency with personal computers and software including Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of Spectrum / telecommunications products and services
  • Skilled use of hand tools, electric drills, ladders, gaffs and safety harnesses
  • Accurate measurement using tapes and devices
  • Ability to climb poles and operate extension ladders up to 32 feet and 90 pounds
  • Recognition of wire sizes and colors
  • Cable connections in tight spaces and operation of relevant test equipment
  • Ability to perform work at heights and stand for extended periods
  • Handling small components to make cable connections
  • Use of handheld communication devices and applications
  • Ability to dig in different soil types
  • Reading complex system layouts from blueprints
  • Knowledge of mathematics, electronics, National Electric Code and National Electrical
  • Safety Code

  • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record meeting Spectrum standards
  • Safe operation of Spectrum vehicles and machinery for cable installation
