Job summary

Covenant Medical Center, part of Providence, seeks a Section Supervisor to lead the clinical laboratory section under the direction of the Laboratory Director and Manager. This full-time, day shift role requires occasional weekend/holiday coverage and a strong commitment to patient care.

The position emphasizes supervision of technical and operational activities, with focus on accuracy, compliance with CLIA standards, and collaboration across the laboratory team.

Under the direction of the Laboratory Director and/or Laboratory Manager the Section Supervisor plans, directs and supervises all technical and operational activities performed in his/her respective section.

This position is open for Full Time, Day shift with occasional weekend and holiday coverage needed

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree, or Meets CLIA requirements
• Sufficient clinical laboratory experience to perform accurately and precisely the assigned work

Preferred Qualifications:

• Upon hire: Certification by the Board of Registry of the American Society for Clinical Pathology
• 1 year work experience in a clinical laboratory, preferably a hospital setting
• 4 years experience in a clinical laboratory following licensure or certification
