Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a neonatal Advanced Practice Provider supervisor for the Northern Region. This role leads clinical practice, oversees APP staff, and manages a clinical program within the department, ensuring safe, evidence-based care for newborn patients.

The position emphasizes staff development, regulatory compliance, CME administration, performance improvement, and collaboration with physicians and cross-functional teams to optimize patient outcomes and department

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an ARC-PA accredited program OR Master’s or post-Master’s Degree in Nursing.
  • 1 year of clinical experience.
  • Current Pennsylvania Physician Assistant License OR Current Pennsylvania CRNP license and Current State of PA RN licensure OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
  • CRNPs must obtain Pennsylvania Prescriptive Authority license within 60 days of hire.
  • National Board Certification for Nurse Practitioners through the AANP or ANCC.
  • CPR – American Heart Association.
  • Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
  • Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
  • Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
  • Must be NRP certified

Responsibilities

  • Performs duties as assigned or required within and APP role, consistent with APP scope of practice, appropriate training and knowledge as per the APP department job description. (50%)
  • Involved in hiring and termination decisions, coaching and development, rewards and recognition, performance management and staff productivity. Plan, organize, staff, direct and control day-to-day operations of the department; may have budgetary responsibility and authority. (20%)
  • Monitors patient satisfaction, identifying opportunities, and addressing and resolving patient complaints; monitors and manages key financial and revenue cycle metrics including volumes, staff hours and allocation, expenses, and revenue. (10%)
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements including ongoing education as required and manages APP CME education and approval process. (10%)
  • Implements ongoing education as required and/or appropriate and manages the APP CME education and approval process. (10%)
  • Other duties as assigned or required.

Education

ARC-PA accredited program
Master’s or post-Master’s Degree in Nursing
Current Pennsylvania PA License or CRNP license and PA RN licensure or eNLC
Pennsylvania Prescriptive Authority license within 60 days

GENERAL OVERVIEW:
