Position Summary

The Operations Supervisor oversees labor management and planning of inbound/outbound activities, including staffing, space utilization, and equipment. Responsibilities include hiring, training, performance management, and supervising the receipt, storage, and shipment of products to meet service and cost objectives.

Responsibilities
  1. Conduct staff meetings to review activities and promote improvements.
  2. Communicate critical issues to management and clients.
  3. Develop systems for managing operations safely and profitably, ensuring KPI and quality compliance.
  4. Implement cost-saving measures and efficiency improvements.
  5. Manage operations to meet productivity and service goals.
  6. Supervise and develop warehouse staff, including training and performance evaluations.
  7. Plan daily work schedules based on priorities and resources.
  8. Assess warehouse needs and reorganize as necessary.
  9. Participate in hiring, training, and HR activities.
  10. Maintain communication with staff and management about progress and issues.
  11. Support physical operations when needed.
  12. Motivate and develop team members to ensure high customer satisfaction.
Skills & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in logistics/distribution.
  • At least 1 year supervisory experience.
  • Preferred: MHE certification or knowledge of MHE operation.
Certifications
  • Forklift training certification required.
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, RF scanners, WMS.
Language Skills
  • English proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking.
Physical Demands

Includes bending, walking, standing, sitting, and lifting up to 20 pounds. Ability to reach, squat, and kneel is required.

Work Environment

Usually low to moderate noise, infrequent exposure to fumes or chemicals. Ability to work in varying temperatures.
