IT’SUGAR in Novi, MI is seeking a fun and dynamic Retail Supervisor to act as a Leader on Duty, oversee daily store operations, and drive a memorable SUGARTAINMENT customer experience. You will coach Sales Associates, maintain visual standards, and support promotions and events to boost sales.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years or older.
High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
2 years of retail experience and at least 1 year of supervisor experience preferred.
Willing to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Able to work 32-40 hours a week.
Must be able to use a POS/cash register.
Able to stand and walk for long periods; able to lift/move up to 25 lbs; up to 50 lbs with assistance.
Must be able to work alone or with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Evaluates daily operations and proposes actions to enhance productivity, efficiency, effectiveness, and profitability.
Coaches and trains Sales Associates to foster a productive work environment.

Promotes safety for customers and associates by following guidelines.
Partners with the store manager to identify challenges and present solutions.
Follow the SUGARTAINMENT customer engagement model: set the stage, welcome, engage, entertain, and thank the customer.
Assist customers with requests and inquiries; keep salesfloor clean and organized; operate POS/cash register.
Follows through on customer requests for specific items and suggests additional products.
Use selling skills by explaining benefits, features, prices, quality, value, and product information.
Maintain cash handling records, reports, and opening/closing procedures.
Ensure visual standards are maintained and shelves are merchandised according to guidelines.
Plan, coordinate and execute special events and promotions.
Communicate product recommendations to increase sales/inventory.

IT’SUGAR is looking for a fun and dynamic Retail Supervisor to join our team. As a Retail Supervisor, you will be the premier “SUGARTAINER” in charge of delivering a SWEET customer experience while promoting our brand. This position is a steppingstone towards a management role within IT’SUGAR. The Supervisor will be a shift leader in charge of overseeing all store functions and team members.

Act as a Leader on Duty:

Oversees the daily operation of the store and ensures that sales objectives are met.
Evaluates daily operations on an ongoing basis and makes recommendations/initiates action to enhance productivity, efficiency, effectiveness, and profitability.
Fosters a productive work environment through consistent coaching and training of Sales Associates.

Deliver Exceptional Customer Service:

Follow our customer engagement model SUGARTAINMENT by setting the stage, welcoming, engaging, entertaining and thanking the customer.
Assist customers with requests and inquiries.
Ensure salesfloor is clean and organized while maintaining store visual standards.
Operate POS/ register to properly cash out all customers.

Achieve Sales Goals:

Follows through on customer requests for specific items and suggests additional products.
Use selling skills by explaining benefits, features, prices, quality, value, and other product information.

Support Store Operations

Maintains store cash handling records, reports, and opening and closing procedures.
Ensures visual standards are appropriate and support the brand image.
Merchandises displays to visual guidelines.
Plan, coordinate, and set up special events and promotions.
Maintain communication with associates regarding product recommendations to increase sales/inventory.
Understands all Loss Prevention (LP) policies and procedures and communicates LP issues with the Store Manager.
Operational Responsibilities include, but are not limited to salesfloor/backroom/restroom maintenance, cleaning, mopping, etc.
