Job summary

Independent Pet Partners in Naperville, IL is seeking a part-time Supervisor to deliver exceptional service, support the Store Manager, and help run daily store operations in a pet-friendly environment. You will share product knowledge, help customers find the right items, handle the cash register, stock displays, and keep the front and stock room clean.

Evening/weekend availability and prior supervisory experience are valued.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Passion for extraordinary customer service and the well-being of pets.
• Professional retail sales experience preferred.
• Professional supervisory experience preferred.
• Willingness to be educated about the products and services offered.
• Demonstrated ability to meet sales targets.
• Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Time management and organizational skills.

Physical Demands

• Position requires a person to be both indoors and outdoors (to assist with customer carry out).
• Must be able to stand 8 hours per day with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be comfortable working with a wide variety of animals including small and large dogs.
• Must be able to work around pet hair and dander.
