Job summary

ANDRITZ AG in Muncy, PA is seeking a hands-on production supervisor for the 3rd shift to lead the safe, efficient manufacture of high-quality refiner plates. You will supervise roughly 8–30 hourly employees, coordinate daily production activities, develop team members, and help achieve performance goals related to safety, quality, productivity, cost, and on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate will champion safety, communicate policies clearly, train and coach staff, and partner with maintenance.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Required:

• Demonstrated ability to lead others and consistently uphold company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, basic mathematical ability, and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to maintain accurate records, reports, and other required documentation.
• Willingness and ability to complete required training and maintain role‑specific qualifications.
• Ability to safely operate fork trucks, floor cranes, high lifts, and other mobile equipment after required training and authorization.

Preferred:

• Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Experience applying 5S principles, lean manufacturing practices, and continuous improvement methods.
• Experience leading initiatives that improve safety, quality, productivity, manufacturing cost, and/or lead time.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

This position works in a manufacturing environment with exposure to varying temperatures, elevated noise levels, dust, dirt, fumes, welding equipment, and industrial devices. The role may require sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, kneeling, stooping, crouching, climbing, grasping, using stairs, and working in confined or restricted spaces. Lifting more than 50 pounds and working extended hours may be required. Employees must wear designated personal protective equipment and perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
