Job summary

IPP - Independent Pet Partners in Edina, MN is seeking a Supervisor to deliver exceptional service to pet parents and support daily store operations.

The role requires passion for pets, strong customer service, and prior supervisory/retail experience, with a flexible schedule including evenings/weekends. You will lead product knowledge sharing and help drive sales while maintaining a clean, organized store environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Passion for extraordinary customer service and the well-being of pets.
• Professional retail sales experience preferred.
• Professional supervisory experience preferred.
• Willingness to be educated about the products and services offered.
• Demonstrated ability to meet sales targets.
• Excellent communication skills—verbal and written.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide guests with an exceptional experience.
• Assist the Store Manager in overall management of store operations.
• Share product knowledge to fit customer needs and promote pet health.
• Handle front end duties: cash register, bagging, merchandising, displays.
• Keep store front and stock room clean and organized.
• Support other projects including markdowns, re-tickets, labeling, events.
• Fulfill other duties from Store Manager or Retail Management Team.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions Section

The incumbent must be able to perform all the following duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Provide guests with an exceptional experience.
• Assist the Store Manager in overall management of store operations.

• Perform front end duties such as handling the cash register, bagging, replenishing merchandise, and preparing displays.
• Organize and maintain a clean store front and stock room.

Physical Demands

• Position requires a person to be both indoors and outdoors (to assist with customer carry out).
• Must be able to stand 8 hours per day with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be comfortable working with a wide variety of animals including small and large dogs.
• Must be able to work around pet hair and dander.
