Qualifications

  • Hold a current Indiana license or associate license in good standing in an eligible discipline (LMHC/LMHCA/LMFT/LMHFTA/LCSW/LSW/HSPP).
  • Understand integrating Christian faith in counseling clients.
  • Belief in family preservation philosophy.

Responsibilities

  • Provide counseling services to individuals, couples, and families.
  • Notify Crosswinds when a client’s needs fall outside scope of training/licensure.
  • Integrate Christian principles into counseling where appropriate.
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation (contacts, session notes, treatment plans, reports).
  • Value multiculturalism and diversity in client conceptualization and treatment.
  • Respect client’s sociocultural values and lifestyle choices.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of client information.
  • Attend required team meetings and trainings.
  • Provide up to 40 hours of weekly availability for direct services and admin duties.
  • Receive supervision/consultation offered by Crosswinds Counseling, external supervision at therapist's cost.
  • Manage client caseload and follow operational policies.

General Statement of Responsibility

The therapist shall provide evidence-based counseling services which are within the scope of Therapist’s training, licensing, and experience. Sessions may be conducted in office, onsite, or via telehealth. These services shall comply with accepted clinical and ethical standards applicable to the Therapist's profession and licensure. Therapist agrees to abide by the policies and procedures of Company. All team members are expected to be active and positive members of the Crosswinds team while growing personally and professionally and helping and encouraging others to grow as well.

Major Responsibilities / Activities

  • Provide counseling services to individuals, couples, and families of diverse ages and presenting concerns.
  • Notify Crosswinds when a client's needs fall outside the Therapist's scope of training, licensure, or experience.
  • Integrate Christian principles into counseling services when appropriate and aligned with client goals and preferences.
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation of 1) all contact with clients, 2) session notes, 3) integrative summaries and treatment plans, and 4) reports for clients (as needed)
  • Value multiculturalism and diversity and integrate it into client conceptualization and treatment
  • Demonstrate respect for client’s sociocultural values, personal goals, and lifestyle choices, and deliver services in a culturally competent fashion
  • Maintain strict confidentiality to protect client’s privacy
  • Attend required team meetings and trainings.
  • Provide up to 40 hours of weekly availability, including direct client services and required administrative responsibilities.
  • Receive regular consultation and clinical supervision. This consultation/supervision will be offered free of charge by Crosswinds Counseling. Therapists will not be compensated for consultation/supervision. Should Therapist desire to seek supervision from an external party, Therapist would be responsible for any cost accrued and must obtain prior written approval from Crosswinds Counseling.

Counseling sessions will be held at Crosswinds offices, in school-based settings, onsite at partner organizations, or web-based telehealth.

Requirements

Required Education and Experience

  • Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or marriage and family therapy
  • Hold a current Indiana license or associate license in good standing in an eligible discipline, including but not limited to: LMHC, LMHCA, LMFT, LMHFTA, LCSW, LSW, or HSPP.
  • Have an understanding of integrating the Christian faith in counseling clients
  • Belief in the family preservation philosophy
