Job summary

CoolSys is seeking Refrigeration Start-up Technicians to install and start up supermarket refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipment, ensuring projects meet customer needs in a timely and accurate manner.

The role demands advanced EMS knowledge, ability to program EMS systems, and experience with parallel rack setups. Expect travel, overtime, and leadership of junior technicians. Benefits include education support and a comprehensive package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Trade school coursework or equivalent preferred.
• 3+ years of supermarket EMS systems experience.
• EMS Certification preferred.
• 5+ years of commercial refrigeration experience, especially with parallel rack systems.
• EPA I and II Certification required.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform start-up of supermarket refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipment to meet customer needs on time and accurately.
• Lead EMS wiring and programming for EMS systems from multiple manufacturers.
• Perform full start-up of new parallel refrigeration systems and individual systems.
• Lead small projects such as single case and condenser changeouts.
• Assist with Energy Optimization projects and retro-commissioning of supermarket systems.
• Collaborate with local branch Service and Construction Managers and train junior technicians.
