Job summary

Place Services Inc. is seeking Supermarket Refrigeration Installers to join the team.

Travel to locations such as Nashville, Knoxville, Birmingham, Atlanta, Greenville SC, and Charlotte is required, with most work scheduled at night and occasional dayshift. We install and position refrigeration systems in supermarkets, mounting units, brazing copper piping, and ensuring compliance with safety and building codes.

• Experience as Lead, Pipe Fitter, Case Setter, or Helper is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Execute installation of refrigeration systems per blueprints and codes.
• Build and install pipe hangers, braze copper piping for cases.
• Assemble and mount refrigeration units, condensers, compressors, and components.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment.
• Maintain compliance with industry regulations and document logs.
• Interact with supermarket staff to address refrigeration needs.
• Provide courteous customer service and timely issue resolution.

Supermarket Refrigeration Installers needed immediately for Place Services, Inc. headquartered in Canton, GA (Atlanta area). Travel to locations such as Nashville, Knoxville, Birmingham, Atlanta, Greenville SC, and Charlotte is required, with most work scheduled at night and occasional dayshift.

What You’ll Do

• Execute the installation of refrigeration systems in accordance with blueprints, specifications, and local building codes
• Build and install pipe hangers, fit and braze copper pipe ensuring the proper installation of refrigerated cases in supermarkets
• Assemble, position, and mount refrigeration units, condensers, compressors, and other components
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
• Maintain compliance with industry regulations and standards for refrigeration systems
• Follow proper disposal procedures for refrigerants and hazardous materials in accordance with environmental regulations
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including installation logs, service reports, and equipment specifications
• Document equipment inspections, repairs, and maintenance tasks for reference and future analysis
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding job progress, issues encountered, and solutions implemented
• Interact professionally with supermarket management and staff to understand their refrigeration needs and address any concerns
• Provide courteous and responsive customer service, resolving inquiries and requests in a timely manner

Who You Are

What You Bring

• Valid driver's license and a safe driving record in accordance with the Fleet Policy
• Ability to walk distances, bend and crouch, climb ladders, work at high elevations, and lift/carry objects up to fifty pounds repetitively and for extended periods
• Prompt and detailed communication skills
• Availability to work nights and/or Sundays
• Working knowledge of basic and commercial refrigeration (preferred for Leads)
• EPA certification preferred but not required
