About BurnBot BurnBot provides systematic fuels treatment services to prevent destructive wildfires. We're firefighters, scientists, engineers, prescribed fire practitioners, ecologists, and community members who are answering the call to scale fuel treatment capacity. Our modern fuel treatment system recognizes and supports conservation efforts with a clean, smoke-free process. We need technology to amplify our workforces with targeted use of synthetic fire to treat fuel loads 10x faster than previously possible.

The Role BurnBot is seeking a Field Operations Superintendent to oversee field operations across multiple crews and projects. This role is responsible for operational oversight, reporting, long-term planning, and cross-project coordination, while maintaining a consistent field presence to support Foremen, evaluate conditions, and ensure alignment between planning and execution.

This role is involved in a new long-term contract we have for vegetation management along transportation corridors throughout the county.

The Operations Superintendent splits time approximately 50/50 between administrative responsibilities and field engagement. This role serves as the primary operational bridge between field leadership and BurnBot regional management and plays a key role in job walks, proposal development, and strategic planning.

This position is supervisory and carries responsibility for multiple Foremen and their crews.

This is an exempt role with a salary of $100,000 to $120,000 per year. However, we do consider many factors when creating job offers, including (but not limited to), the role, location, responsibilities, experience, training, education, and skillset.

  • Reinforce stop-work authority and risk management expectations at all levels
  • Own and manage all required operational reporting (i.e. Production, Safety, Equipment, Labor, Budget, etc.)
  • Participate in job walks, pre-bid site visits, and scope development
